Greater Issaquah Chamber

Chamber Supports the School Renewal Levy and Encourages Voters to do the Same

The Issaquah School District is asking voters to approve the renewal of the EP&O levy on the February 11th ballot, to allow the district to continue to support the programs and services funded by the previous 2 year levy, expiring in 2020. Like a subscription, local school levies must be renewed, or the funding will be lost.

The 2020 EP&O levy continues support for:

  • Career & Technical Education

  • Mental Health Counselors

  • Safety & Security

  • Special Education

  • Dual Language Program

  • Highly Capable Program

  • Early Childhood Learning & Preschool Opportunities

  • Professional Development for Teachers

  • Expanded High School Schedules

This levy maintains current programs, while remaining fiscally responsible and sensitive to the overall tax rate. This is NOT a new tax. The proposed 2 year levy replaces the expiring 2018 levy at an overall tax rate.
